How is ThermiTight® performed?
- During a typical ThermiTight procedure, a small probe is inserted into the skin and radiofrequency energy is applied directly to targeted areas. Radiofrequency energy has the ability to tighten tissues as well as stimulate the production of collagen underneath the skin for natural improvement that lasts. Most patients experience some initial tightening as well as continued enhancements to the skin over time as new collagen is produced. ThermiTight is a single treatment that is performed under local anesthesia in our office while you are fully awake. ThermiRF™ technology creates three-dimensional improvement in skin laxity.
How long is the recovery and when can you see results?
- Slight swelling or bruising may occur after ThermiTight® treatment, which typically subsides within 24 to 72 hours. Most patients are able to return to normal activities within 2 to 3 days after this procedure. This is a low-risk treatment, and other relevant safety information that may apply to you will be discussed during your consultation. With optimal treatment and a good skincare regimen, your smoother, tighter skin can last for several years. Although the aging process cannot be completely prevented, receiving regular treatment can help manage your visible signs of aging for the long term.
