Eye Lid Lift Patient #6

This is a 57-year-old patient who presented to Dr. Sweis complaining of having excess skin along the upper eyelids. She has beautiful eyes and she felt that they seemed smaller than at her younger stage of life. She underwent a bilateral upper blepharoplasty with removal of the extra skin and a small strip of the orbicularis muscle to better sculpt the eyelid crease. She did not have much extra fat to remove. This procedure was performed under local anesthesia in our Northbrook office. The patient was fully awake and tolerated the surgery very well. Her photos are shown before surgery and 3 months after the bilateral upper blepharoplasty.
